MILAN – Matteo Cazzulani, Chairman of the Integration Committee of Filitalia International Italian District, on Wednesday 10/30 expressed deep sadness for the death of first PM of the post-soviet Republic of Poland Tadeusz Mazowiecki.

Chairman Cazzulani, while signing the Book of Condolences in the Consulate of the Republic of Poland, in Milan, underlined that Mazowiecki, as the first PM of the democratic Poland after soviet dictatorship, was able to introduce a Free Market Economy and guarantee workers’ rights at the same time.

Chairman Cazzulani also stressed that Mazowiecki’s activity led to a full integration in the EU not only Poland, but also other Central European countries, such as Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Lithuania.

“PM Mazowiecki was a Christian-democrat that paid attention to social issues. He was also an activist for Human Rights, Liberty, Democracy and EU Integration. We have a lot in common, and I can stress that he is one of my models for my political and social activity” Chairman Cazzulani said.
